The 1st Annual Meeting of the Immutol project (Advanced Antigen-Specific Dendritic Cells Based Therapy to Re-establish Tolerance in Immune-Mediated Diseases), led by Dr. Silvia Gregori from the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget), took place on June 6-7, 2024.
The initial day provided an excellent opportunity to review the activities undertaken during the project’s first year across various work packages, discussing both the progress achieved and the challenges encountered.
The second day focused on brainstorming and making strategic decisions during the roundtable discussion. It was truly inspiring to witness the dedication and enthusiasm of the consortium, including young scientists, as they work towards developing a more effective and lasting treatment for autoimmune diseases with unmet medical needs, particularly Multiple Sclerosis. With over 30 participants, the event was hosted and organized by the team of Assist. Prof. Jordi Martorell at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS Barcelona), in Barcelona, Spain, with support from Innovation Acta S.r.l.
